Teman-teman pasti tidak asing dengan MySQL<\/a>, ya baik mahasiswa maupun developer dalam membuat aplikasi database biasanya menggunakan MySQL, alasannya tidak lain adalah karena free dan user friendly.<\/p>\n

MySQL merupakan salah satu aplikasi RDBMS<\/a> (Relational Database Management System), aplikasi database yang menggunakan prinsip relasional.<\/p>\n

Selain itu ada diantaranya adalah Microsoft Access, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle.<\/p>\n

\nBeberapa kelebihan yang dimiliki oleh MySQL adalah:<\/p>\n

  1. MySQL memiliki kecepatan yang lebih bila dibandingkan dengan aplikasi\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 RDBMS lainnya.<\/li>\n
  2. Dari segi keandaalan tidak perlu diragukan, mengingat sifatnya yang open source setiap orang dapat berkontribusi dalam melakukan pengembangan testing (debugging).<\/li>\n
  3. Dapat memproses data yang besar dan kompleks.<\/li>\n
  4. Instalasi yang cukup mudah.<\/li>\n
  5. Portability, database MySQL dapat dengan mudah berpindah dari satu sistem operasi ke sistem operasi lainnya yang berbeda. (mis: Windows ke Linux).<\/li>\n
  6. Multiuser, dapat diakses oleh beberapa pengguna secara bersamaan.<\/li>\n
  7. Mendukung berbagai bahasa (Internationalization).<\/li>\n
